Community Involvement
Brown & Crouppen Cares
One of our core values is Advocacy. Our team members live and work in the communities we serve, and we believe it’s important to give back. From Kansas City to St. Louis to Edwardsville, Illinois, our team members live and work in the same big cities and small towns as our clients. That’s why our team volunteers with a variety of nonprofits and community organizations, including those highlighted below.
Annie Malone Children & Family Services May Day Parade
Every year, Brown & Crouppen employees join Terry and Andy Crouppen for the Annie Malone Parade to raise money for kids in crisis.
St. Louis Pride PrideFest
Since 2016, Brown & Crouppen has sponsored and participated in St. Louis PrideFest. Look for our Vendor Booth on the Grounds, and our Party Bus in the Parade!
Sista Strut Breast Cancer Walk
Brown & Crouppen is a longtime sponsor and participant in Sista Strut – St. Louis, an annual walk founded to increase awareness of and resources for breast cancer in women of color.

Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis
Our team works with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) on a number of community events, including the Motion for Kids Holiday Party hosted for 2,500 area children in foster care, the World Food Day packing event, and Promote the Vote, in which employees volunteer to notarize ballots for City residents.
Huntington’s Disease Society of America
Andy Crouppen serves on the board, and our firm sponsors a number of events for Huntington’s Disease Society of America, including the St. Louis Team Hope Walk, bowling fundraiser, Christmas in July, and Kansas City Love Local.
Special Olympics of Missouri
Brown & Crouppen’s brave employees plunge into the COLD water of Creve Coeur Lake for the Special Olympics of Missouri’s Polar Plunge.
Kids’ Chance of Missouri and Illinois
Kids’ Chance provides scholarships to children of workers killed or seriously injured on the job. Our workers’ compensation department director, Carol Beckman, and her team have been involved for many years, fundraising for bowling, golf, trivia, and networking events.
Humane Society of Missouri
The Humane Society’s Bark in the Park is one of our most-attended charitable events. Employees walk, sponsor, and volunteer at the event, providing giveaways, including dog bowls and frisbees.
Arch City Defenders
Over the years, our team has volunteered and supported Arch City Defenders (ACD) fundraisers, including trivia nights and the Race Against Racism. Brown & Crouppen attorney Brandon Jackson volunteers his time working with ACD clients and planning fundraising events.
Autism Speaks
For years, employees have joined together to raise funds and participate in the Autism Speaks St. Louis Walk.
Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
The firm began working with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation on behalf of co-founder Ron Brown’s family. Attorney Brent Cantor is on the board for St. Louis-area events, and our firm has participated in the Take Steps Walk, Trivia Night, and TopGolf St. Louis and Kansas City fundraisers.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
Habitat for Humanity
Brown & Crouppen has supported Habitat for Humanity for more than a decade. As part of our partnership with KMOV Habitat Build Day, employees help out with the build and return for dedication day, when the family receives the key to their home.
Saint Louis Crisis Nursery
The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides a short-term safe haven for children whose families are facing emergencies. Many Brown & Crouppen employees volunteer at Crisis Nursery, and Terry Crouppen serves as a celebrity waiter at the Celebrity Waiter Night fundraising event.
Tammie Holland Partnership
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Tammie Holland, a devoted mother, dear friend, and cherished host of This Week With Tammie Holland. Her legacy of empathy, joy, and community will forever be remembered. With love and gratitude, we remember you, Tammie.
