How Our Fees Work

My name is Ron Brown, I’m a senior partner at Brown & Crouppen. I want to talk to you about how legal fees work at the law firm.

First, I understand that how you pay a lawyer is of great concern to people who need legal services. I also understand that people who need the type of help that we offer have had something terrible happen to them. I know that people hurt in accidents are often in no position to pay a lawyer any “up front” fee to begin their case. For this reason Brown & Crouppen, to make it as easy as possible to hire a lawyer, has adopted the contingent fee system as our general method of payment.

The contingent fee system is the “key” to the courtroom for thousands of Americans. A contingent fee simply says that we are paid a percentage of what we are able to make the other side pay you. It allows people, who have been injured in an accident, to hire a lawyer without having to pay any money in advance.

That’s right, a contingent fee means no retainer or costs have to be paid in advance before a qualified attorney can begin to work on your case. In a contingent fee system you don’t have to pay a lawyer hundreds of dollars an hour, whether they are successful or not. With a Brown & Crouppen contingent fee you only pay if you win, because, why pay for failure?

Well, that’s the basics of how fees work at Brown & Crouppen. What’s important is that you don’t have to stay away from a lawyer because you don’t have any money to pay in advance. If you have any further questions just click here and someone will contact you promptly.
